#projecteducate proudly presents ”The ABCs of Art Nude Photography,” the N-P edition!!!

N is for Negative
which is one of the downsides to being a nude model, or nude photographer.  There is frequently very negative feedback from viewers, friends, family members, and the community.  But, there is a much larger community that finds artistic nudes beautiful, and worthwhile.  Keep your head up!

O is for Outside
which is a wonderful place to shoot artistic nudes!  Whether it's out in the woods, or a field, or a rural setting, getting out of the studio can add a lot of excitement.

P is for Pornography
which artistic nudes are not.  Check out the following FAQs and articles for further education on what dA considers pornography.
FAQ #565: You prohibit the submission of 'pornographic imagery'; what do you consider this to be?
Clarifying the Definition of Porn

Until next time with R-T!

Of course P is always subject to debate, since according to DA's definition of it, many of Picasso's works, just as one of many possible examples, are strictly pornographic, since DA defines pornography in terms of the acts or visual elements rather than the intentionality.

Unfortunately "intention" is not objectively describable which also makes it impossible to policy and enforce it. The discussion of what is and what is not pornography is always going to be a can of worms!

I've been following and enjoying the articles this week. Thank you for all your hard work. Really great educational resources and interesting interviews!
