The CR Stamp Project

Stamps are a great way to show your support for a project, a person or a group of people, spread awareness for a cause or promote a contest. It is also valid to do them just for fun, with just a funny image and/or message.
Since their introduction to the deviantArt galleries, millions of stamps have been created with a great variety of messages, both silly and serious, and you can see them all over the place, from journals to profile widgets.
The Community Relations department exists to encourage, facilitate and develop the relationship with our deviantART community. Our goal is to nurture our community by encouraging, stimulating artists to create, collaborate, and participate in a friendly, safe, and supportive artistic environment.

My lovely friend ^Pixel-Spotlight works with StyleNoir Magazine, and they are accepting submissions for their debut print issue!

They are looking for editorial content from artists of all types and of all mediums!

So, calling all photographers, illustrators, writers, everyone interested in seeing their work in print or interested in being featured in the world's largest dark style magazine, email Merry.Phillips@stylenoir.co.uk

Celebrating Diversity #15

I enjoyed doing my last Celebrating Diversity article so much I decided to do another one!!! Have you looked at another gallery than your usual today????

Making a Doll in HellFrom hands wrought with decay,
I sculpted you from the deepest, red clay
and shaped your form in funeral pyres;
raised you up with damaged hands,
out the dead-man's fire.

I sutured your sides with my own hair,
bound your limbs and threaded together tears,
and I beat you so you would soften up
then pulled over the clay; filled it,
with my own skin; with my own blood.

And as we sat below amorphous skies,
I poured sand into your empty eyes,
until they overflowed into building dunes,
turned to glass, and shone like diamonds;
like stars from out a darkened room.

And I built your soul from memories,
sought out from days so heavenl

Why we are Celebrating DIVERSITY!

This ongoing series of Art Features has been created to celebrate the huge diversity of submissions to dA. No gallery on dA is better than the other, they are only different.

Differences are good and healthy, they make our world colorful and enjoyable. It is good that we all have different und unique tastes and we should celebrate that! Instead of scorning something that is different, we have to accept, tolerate and appreciate it and the fact that it enrichens the world with yet another thing

The Nature of Beauty

~WeissChristian has too many Daily Deviations for me to feature him for another one, but I wanted to still bring people's attention to this amazing image. Beauty is such an intangible, personal, changeable thing. Beauty to one is ugly to another. I look at this image, and I see beauty. Her scars are beautiful. She is beautiful.

Rules

One entry per person, per gallery. Aka, you can submit one art nude, one fetish, one glamour, and one pinup. However, you will only be able to win once!

All entries must fit into one of the following four galleries: Artistic Nude photography, Fetish photography, Glamour photography, or Pinup photography. You MUST mention in your artist comments which gallery you are submitting for. Submissions that don't clearly state what gallery they are for, or that don't fit into any of the galleries will be removed.

Submissions must be from 2012.

Submissions must incorporate the idea of Halloween. Obviously, this is pretty open to interpretation, but this will be at the discretion of ^Nyx-Valentine and ^DistortedSmile

Entries can be entered into BOTH this contest, and #PeopleAndPortraits Seasonal contest. Please be sure it fits into the rules for both!

Welcome to the Halloween season! We're celebrating with a cross over contest! The Artistic Nude, Fetish, Glamour and Pinup Galleries are all getting together! Pumpkins and jack-o-lanterns and scarecrows, bats and ghosties galore! You can be silly and cute or creepy and dark, just keep it Halloweeny!

So the wonderful ^Kaz-D and ^3wyl realized something important. We needed a hub group for Photography -> People and Portraits, and they were right! Sooo, they fixed it!

Check out the rules for submissions, and get going! Artistic Nude photography and Fetish photography folders are both open for submissions now! Please do be sure that your suggested deviation is in the People and Portraits gallery, and that you are suggesting it to the appropriate sub gallery!

Group Welcome: Rules and RegsFirstly, a huge welcome to the brand shiny new People & Portraits Photography group. The group came about as myself and ^3wyl both decided that a hub for all things People needed to be created. We're hoping that we can become that base as the group will span the People & Portrait Photography galleries quite nicely.
